About Amanda

hello and welcome! My name is Amanda minano and my pronouns are she/her.

Born and raised in Southern California, I have been involved with theatre arts since I was brought home from the hospital… literally. My parents, Frank and Donna Marie Minano, own a non-profit theatre company called Inland Valley Repertory Theatre (IVRT). Before I adjusted to life at home, I was brought to a rehearsal of “The Most Happy Fella” and, well, the rest is history!

I caught the theatre bug at the young age of eight after performing in Youth Theatre Works’ production of Guys and Dolls Jr. as Adelaide. From there, I went on to obtain my work permit in order to perform in Candlelight Pavilion’s productions of Annie, The Music Man and The Sound of Music. I continued my education at Claremont High School under the direction of Krista Carson Elhai and Dr. Joel Wilson. I joined Thespian Troupe 2129 and received 3rd place in Solo Musical Theatre at Thespian State Festival 2010. I attended the National Thespian Festival in Lincoln, Nebraska in 2011 with our school’s production of Starmites (as Diva/Mother). This inspired my desire to pursue a career in this industry professionally and I received my B.A. in Drama with an emphasis in Musical Theatre at the University of California, Irvine.

In 2015, I joined the nationally touring cast of The Little Mermaid (as Adella/Ariel US) and lived on the road for two years. This contract allowed me to become a proud member of the Actors’ Equity Association.

My plan of moving to New York City in 2020 was redirected by COVID-19 and I continued nurturing my voice by serving in worship at local churches. I have recently stepped into a new role as “mama” to a beautiful son. We currently reside in Los Angeles county where I perform regionally and serve as a certified shampoo dealer for the number one premium haircare brand in the world.

I am open to representation and feel grateful you are here! I invite you to look around, stay awhile and keep in contact as I love growing my network. Thank you for your time!
